Tam has joined CEMP as a doctoral researcher looking at the widening gender gap in the UK creative media industries and exploring ways that the industry can support and hold onto its female workforce. This PhD is a collaboration between CEMP and Skillset the sector skills council for the creative media industry.

Tam studied her MSc in Gender and the Media at the London School of Economics (LSE). She has worked as a freelancer for several years within the UK film and TV industry mainly in documentaries but also on feature films and TV drama. From 2008 – 2010 she worked as Development Manager for the Birds Eye View Film Festival.
