Exhibition

This research theme aims to examine the potential of ‘exhibition’ in curriculum design as a means of exploring students’ learning in final year undergraduate programmes across all disciplines. The Centre envisages that this project will ultimately enable us to facilitate and disseminate the creativity and diversity of students’ displays of learning and reflection. In part, this is a response to a wider commitment to enrich the learning experience of students, to relate higher education to the professions and to involve stakeholders (such as employers) in the processes of education, innovation and skill development.

Stephen Heppell, The Centre’s Professor of New Media Environments hopes that this project will also serve to acknowledge and evaluate students’ current cultural and social practices - such as blogs etc. The Centre aims to develop means by which these practices can be more valued and aggregated as learning experiences, and how they can be shared with peers, professionals and the public.
