CEMP’s work with the United Kingdom Literacy Education contributes to the Digital Literacies in Education special interest group. Two research projects have been conducted:

(1) a pilot study mapping the media literacy competences of students with a GCSE in Media Studies to pan-European MIL criteria

(2) a co-creation project to develop media literacy resources for secondary teachers of English, History, ICT and Geography.

The outcomes of the secondary curriculum project are published in the UKLA Minibook Embedding media literacy across the secondary curriculum by Julian McDougall and Helen Ward.
